be found Mary and Sophie (who has no school that day) to 10:30 Lambdon Quay.
Museum Day Today! We're all going to Te Papa, the largest museum in Wellington!
Mary takes us from the quays and beside the sea is superb: Civic Square and its giant metal ball representing ferns (emblem of NZ), the wooden deck while contrasting with the tall buildings modern! I feel like walking into a giant work of art. I do not know where give head so there to see! Every 2 meters I stopped to take a picture! Sophie is delighted, she juggles Cedric tries to teach him tricks!

Te Papa Museum
My Mary
The museum Te Papa is very modern both outside and inside and ... is free! Like most museums here, at least everyone can have access to culture ... ..
is deposited our bags at the entrance and go to the first floor. There are 6! What deal!
The first presents the forces of the earth. Jumped into a house that simulates an earthquake, we look short films explaining the tsunami, we play games on computers to see if you know how to fortify his house for an earthquake ... everything is interactive but I can not believe it! Sophie is not bored at all even before subjects not often very exciting!
The WETA, New Zealand insect the size of a hand and the weight of 3 mice!
Kiwi and its egg
I'm not going in the other part because it is devoted to an exhibition of giant squid ... (15 meters and more), battery huh what I like! There are beautiful pictures everywhere I walk, looking at the ground! Oh plush super realistic but it's nice say then!
the same floor there is a calculator but it's kind futuroscope $ 10 per person once we made a little grimace. And there, the daughter of the host says, super natural "Oh yes it is a question of money I make you a child rate $ 5! "... ... We could not believe it! Ha well it sure is not there one in France!
So we did, it was fun: race car, rolling down hills, jump off the Sky Tower in Auckland, hang-gliding. ... Sophie was delighted and so are we!
was also played next to the attraction. It began with a full screen size of that of a computer and we took pictures with the web cam, you could even write words on the screen. Then, using a laser lamp could make them appear on a giant screen that covered the entire wall! It was great!
Before attacking the next floor we went to eat cafet museum. Panini and delicious brownies (the best brownie of my life) that we have restored fishing!
The stage was dedicated after the animals that inhabit New Zealand again with full animation on computer for kids and adults and tactile games.
Each different exposure there was a kids section where everything was explained to them with lots of games! We loved it!
A great collection of gum!
My favorite!
We also saw a film that told the story of some New Zealand: a choreographer, a driver of the mail that makes beat box, a man who climbs mountains for a parachute jump from the top, a photographer cliffs ... occupations that unusual and very well taken pictures.
lands formerly possessed by the Maori compared to today's North Island
Even thing for the South Island ... and worse!
The Moa
The floor above exhibited works Maori houses, explanations of carving (carving jade for jewelry) ...
Falling in love with this beautiful marae (Maori meeting place) which seems to be made in Origami!
There was also a part of the Scottish New Zealand, on impressions of a French artist (among other things, Renoir and Toulouse Lautrec)!
Renoir
The other stage was dedicated to painters and New Zealander modern classic.
And the last was especially outside with modern sculptures.
I loved the chicks!
We left the museum about 5:30, it was night was not already seen the time go! We spent the whole day in!
Mary and Sophie take the bus back to Karori and we eat it fits with Kerry. She suggested we drop into a nightclub in the evening to not only one remains to be bored! I can not believe it! We thank her but Mary had already planned to bring us a ride in his favorite spots! She spends
take us to 9am (9:30 last time being in a car geek!) And go home to watch other episodes of Flight of the Conchords.

5min timer to wrestle the last bus at night! Not wearing no makeup I run, my heels in hand! But it comes just in time!
It starts at the front of the bus because the back is occupied by 17 year olds drunken screaming like hell! We did grannys "no, but look! Young people nowadays pff! Cedric

They stay a while and it brings us to the Lotus. The bar "in" Mary is very familiar with the bouncer sexy Marty (one letter difference it necessarily created links!). Fluke's Friday, no tail, Mary told me that Saturday is insane ! The bar is upstairs with a terrace outside.
We'll have a drink at the bar and chatting with the server you, Brad.
I meet two French boys who come from ... Bordeaux! it makes us laugh about the Barrier Saint Genes to thousands of kilometers from our city! They are very simpa it's nice to see nice French!
It is not the time to pass and Mary misses her bus 3h, suddenly we stay until 5:30! We walk home and we want to stop eating something at McDonalds (open 24/24h in NZ!) But they are only small once it's already sniffing out again on an empty stomach with a big desire to cheesburger and Chicken Tender!
